Ok, so the premise of this blog is that I'm going to do what I've done for every season of Project Runway thus far (albeit usually on a napkin, the back of my cell phone bill or another random piece of paper lying around my somewhat too messy house), that is, to write up my comments as I watch the show. For those of my friends (you know who you are) who have proclaimed to be fans of my emails and texts about PR, you'll now be able to read them in digest format.
So why this blog? Can't I just continue to email my friends, and allow the rest of the world to go on their merry way without knowing about my PR obsession? Well, this little bit of genius came from the collision of two occurrences. 1) I have no more time in my life. Seriously. I need to truncate something. 2) Twitter. Thanks guys. My entry into the twitterverse has allowed me to truncate the aforementioned busy life neatly into 120 character or less blurbs. Aha! This gave me the great idea for this blog. Project Runway tweets, in digest format.
Ok, I must admit, I just thought of this today (the morning after the first episode of PR). I also came to the unfortunate realization that I missed the all-star (why didn't anyone tell me?) episode prior to the new season. But I did catch the lovely Models of the Runway show after. Anyhow, what this all means is that I'm going to have to retro-tweet my comments and post on the blog (not sure if I'll post them to the twitterverse) later today.
Well, to anyone who is reading this, thanks for indulging me. Although I was initially bummed about the move to Lifetime, I did remember why I used to watch hours and hours of Lifetime movies before.... Lifetime knows how to keep you attached to your tv for several hours/days (I heard that if you watched the whole PR season opener last night, you were glued to your couch for 3 1/2 hours). Lifetime truly is television for women... I'm just glad they opened up the channel to gay men as well ;-)
